Apart from numerous other subjects, the main focus is on the role of NGOs and their cooperation  with the Council of Europe and the EU.

Important news: IBSSA has been accepted in the "Mission Europa" organisation, which has a  right to participate in the activities of the Council of Europe. Prof. George Popper, IBSSA president, took part in the programme as a member of "Mission Europa" delegation on the invitation of Dr. Maria Teresa Costa Da MACEDO - President of Mission Europa.

During the event Prof. Popper established contact with the "International Antiterrorism Unity" - an international anti-terrorism organisation seated in Ukraine and also had the possibility to discuss some important matters on NGOs with Ms. Annelise OESCHGER - President of the Conference on OINGs of the Council of Europe.

During his meetings with leaders of various organisations, the IBSSA President confirmed that at the end of September 2006, an international conference will be organised in Budapest / HUNGARY with IBSSA on security for Mission Europa and CIP UIOF.
