Report on the Seventeenth Session
of the U.N. Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice
14 – 18^th April 2008, Vienna / Austria

IBSSA has recently joined IFNGO (International Federation of Non Governmental Organisations – for Prevention of Drug and Substance Abuse), which federation includes non-governmental organisations from around the world that are concerned with anti-drug activities, and represents them in the UN and its various organisations. The IFNGO Management Board informed all its members about this cooperation during its meeting held in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam on 2^nd December 2007.

IFNGO was invited to attend the 17^th Session of the U.N. Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, which was held between 14 – 18 April at the Vienna International Centre (VIC) in Vienna / Austria, for that very reason the IBSSA – being associated member of IFNGO – was also welcomed to be present this significant event. The IFNGO delegation was led by Prof. George POPPER – President of IBSSA.



On behalf of IFNGO, Dato’ Haji Mustapha Ma – Honorary Secretary invited IBSSA Members to attend the forthcoming 18^th IFNGO ASEAN N.G.O.s Workshop & Joint IOGT International Programme in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia God Willing 9^th – 13^th December 2008.
