Report on the President's visit in the USA, January 2009

Prof. George POPPER – President of IBSSA visited the Headquarters of IBSSA-USA in Hallandale Beach, Florida during January 2009 and had numerous meetings with the American members of IBSSA.

During one of these meetings Prof. Popper asked Mr. Tamás TÖRÖK - Vice President of IBSSA-ISF to hand over the IBSSA membership diplomas and ID-cards to Shihan Pete PUKISH – who was appointed to Regional Representative of IBSSA for Georgia / USA, and Representative of IBSSA ISF for Georgia / USA – and to Shihan Rey PEREZ – who was appointed to Regional Representative of IBSSA ISF for Florida / USA - when they meet in the future.

While staying in Miami, Florida the President of IBSSA sent the following letter to the newly elected President of the United States of America:

"Dear President Barack Obama, in the name of IBSSA (International Bodyguard and Security Services Association) we express our honour and appreciation on the day of your inauguration as President of the United States. We strongly believe that during Your Presidency the world will become safer and better. Please count with full support and solidarity on our International Federation.”

Hereby we also would like to express officially our most sincere recognition to Dr. Jerry L. BRUMLEY – Vice President of IBSSA, President of International Security Agency, who contributed much to the smooth organisation of the electoral campaign and played an important part in Obama's security with his company – the International Security Agency.
