Minutes of the 4th Annual Conference of IBSSA for the Balkan Region
On the 11th June 2011 at 10.30 am – for the first time in Arad city, Romania – the 4th IBSSA Balkan Conference was held, which was part of the so-called “Partnership” program: the joint meeting of IBSSA – IPA (International Police Association) – IAPA (International Auxiliary Police Association) members.

Dr. Constantin BUZATU (ROM) – Country Representative of IBSSA for Romania welcomed all delegates, representatives of our association, honorary guests, high-ranking leaders of IPA, IAPA and other law enforcement agencies, and wholeheartedly greeted Prof. George POPPER (HUN) – President of IBSSA.
The conference had a wide international attendance – from 6 countries about 40 participants. Numerous security companies of the region delegated their representatives to the event, for example: the Slovenian SAVOY SECURITY, the Bosnian SECTOR SECURITY, the Serbian VIP SL, and the Romanian ARCONS SECURITY. Of course some companies from Hungary also came to attend the conference: the POWER SHIELD SECURITY CO., the PAJZS VEHICLE PROTECTION CO., and the PIEDRA SECURITY COMPANY.

Prof. George POPPER – President of IBSSA expressed his gratitude to everyone for their continuous support and attendance at this significant event, with special thanks to Mr. Bogdan VUKOSAVLJEVIC (SVN) – International Coordinator of IBSSA for the Balkan Region and also to Dr. Constantin BUZATU for hosting the event. The Conference has continued with the report of Mr. Bogdan VUKOSAVLJEVIC – Chairman of the Conference, who has evaluated the successful co-operation and dynamic growing of IBSSA in the Balkan Region. Mr. Vukosavljevic emphasized the better cooperation between the civil security sphere and the law enforcement agencies, than it was years before in the region. The Conference Chairman also heightened our influence in the security profession and stated that the quality can be enhanced by the organization of professional trainings. He also mentioned that because security business is risky and dangerous – it is important to be among others, to be part of an international association, and great to know that we are not alone! Mr. Bogdan VUKOSAVLJEVIC informed the participants in detail about the benefits of IBSSA, such as:
After all the reports and comments Prof. George POPPER officially closed the Balkan Conference and informed all attendees about the IBSSA European Meeting and Award Ceremony, which will start after lunch at 2.30 pm.
