So far the best educational event of IBSSA! According to the experiences of the special training courses, held in the last two years, IBSSA Headquarters organised the ADVANCED training seminar of security experts and bodyguards - with special regard to close protection and fight against terrorism - between 21 - 25 September 2004 in Budapest / HUNGARY. This special training course was the main event of the year in the region with the support of the Hungarian Police Academy (RTF - RVTKI), the Adyliget Law Enforcement College and well-known international experts, Master Teachers and highly qualified Instructors of IBSSA. Many qualified bodyguards, high-ranking officers from special units of the police and the army, and even Instructors of the Adyliget Law Enforcement College participated at the training. The attendees and instructors arrived from Austria, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Italy, the Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Romania and Singapore. PATRONS OF THE EVENT
The purpose of this special course was to bring the IBSSA members together from all around the world and also non-members - who are interested in taking part such courses - in order to change ideas, knowledge, to solve simulated "real world" scenarios so to test the skill and ability of the individual, to improve physical skills, to further develop shooting skills and to extend professional experience. On the 21st September (Tuesday) at 18.00 the Official Opening Ceremony of the training course took place at the Headquarters of Adyliget Law Enforcement College. Prof. George POPPER, GCKM (HUN) - President of IBSSA welcomed all participants and introduced the Master Teachers, Instructors of the training and the present high-ranking IBSSA officials and representatives. After his speech the President called upon Board guard colonel Dr. József BEREGNYEI (HUN) - Director of the Adyliget Law Enforcement College to hold his speech and open the training course officially. From 22nd September (Wednesday) until 24th September (Friday) the students took part in the following daily programsAfter the early getting up and having breakfast at 7.00 AM the participants were ready to start their training at the Headquarters of Adyliget Law Enforcement College in 3 groups, who had the following lessons in rotation:
For the very first time 5 members of the new Educational and Qualification Department of IBSSA have been together leading the smooth run of the course. The Education and Qualification Department had a very important and productive meeting before the opening ceremony of the course, which created the ideal program for the training. The full cooperation of the Master Teachers’ Team gave a most positive result of the educational training process of the course. The official IBSSA Instructor’s promotion course was a great success that reflected by the "feed back" forms filled by the participants. The Educational and Qualification Department qualified and elevated to higher ranks the following new candidates:
The course concluded with high-level demonstrations of the participants and the course instructors. The Open Day with the Final Demonstrations of the students took place on the 25th September (Saturday) at the Headquarters of Adyliget Law Enforcement College. The high-ranking leaders and officials of IBSSA from Israel, Slovenia, Switzerland, Romania and Hungary attended the closing events of the III. "SEC-tember" Training Course in order to see the professional and exciting demonstrations and to take part at the Banquet. Just to mention some members:
The training course was highlighted by numerous TV stations (Hungarian ATV, RTL Klub, Hungarian Television) and representatives of the media (Shogun Magazine, “Harcmuvészek” Magazine, Detektor Plusz Magazine and the Italian Sportivo & Security Magazine). An IBSSA official video record was also taken during the training course by the Official Video and Photographer Team of IBSSA. After the demonstrations the official Closing Ceremony and certification to all participants took place at the Adyliget Law Enforcement College. Prof. George POPPER, GCKM - President of IBSSA and Dr. Rony KLUGER (ISR) - General Secretary of IBSSA handed over the IBSSA Certificates of Participation to the attendees of the training course. The IBSSA Master Teachers’ Team also congratulated all participants. A special Award to the best combat driver of the course was given to Miss. Erika MACSÁRI - Chief of the Organising Committee - for her superb driving demonstration. I would like personally to thank my colleagues Master Teacher Eddie STONE, Master Teacher Miki VARGA and Attila FARKAS, Master Teacher Otto SIMONYI and his staff, Master Teacher Dr. Zeev GEFEN for their excellent work and care for the success of the III.
